For the Fulfillment of One's Needs

O Lord! Unto Thee I repair for refuge, and toward all Thy signs I set my heart. O Lord! Whether traveling or at home, and in my occupation or in my work, I place my whole trust in Thee. Grant me then Thy sufficing help so as to make me independent of all things, O Thou Who art unsurpassed in Thy mercy! Bestow upon me my portion, O Lord, as Thou pleasest, and cause me to be satisfied with whatsoever Thou hast ordained for me. Thine is the absolute authority to command. O Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from every rebel in league with the accursed Devil. O Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from all Thine enemies. Keep me safe, O Lord, from the wickedness of the oppressors and from following the darkness. Lauded be Thy Name! Thou art the Best of Protectors. - The Báb (From INBA 64:17–18. Prayer of the Báb. Arabic. 330 words. Composite translation completed February 2022.)

For Healing & Happiness

O God!  Refresh and gladden my spirit.  Purify my heart.  Illumine my powers.  I lay all my affairs in Thy hand.  Thou art my Guide and my Refuge.  I will no longer be sorrowful and grieved; I will be a happy and joyful being.  O God!  I will no longer be full of anxiety, nor will I let trouble harass me.  I will not dwell on the unpleasant things of life. O God!  Thou art more friend to me than I am to myself.  I dedicate myself to Thee, O Lord. - ‘Abdu’l-Bahá

For Protection

Immeasurably exalted art Thou, O Lord! Protect us from what lieth in front of us and behind us, above our heads, on our right, on our left, below our feet and every other side to which we are exposed. Verily Thy protection over all things is unfailing. - The Báb (Selections from the Writings of the Báb)

The desert works constantly to forbid it, and still the cactus blooms!

For Tests & Difficulties

O Thou Whose tests are a healing medicine to such as are nigh unto Thee, Whose sword is the ardent desire of all them that love Thee, Whose dart is the dearest wish of those hearts that yearn after Thee, Whose decree is the sole hope of them that have recognized Thy truth!  I implore Thee, by Thy divine sweetness and by the splendors of the glory of Thy face, to send down upon us from Thy retreats on high that which will enable us to draw nigh unto Thee.  Set, then, our feet firm, O my God, in Thy Cause, and enlighten our hearts with the effulgence of Thy knowledge, and illumine our breasts with the brightness of Thy names. - Bahá’u’lláh

Rely upon God. Trust in Him.

“Many souls warned me not to travel to Montreal,” ‘Abdu’l-Bahá wrote several years after his journey. “But these stories did not have any effect on the resolution of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá. [He] turned his face toward Montreal. When he entered that city he observed all the doors open, he found the hearts in the utmost receptivity…”
"This dethronement of God from the hearts of the people, Shoghi Effendi wrote, was then accentuated by the emergence of new idols and false gods, which have replaced the worship of God with the worship of the three idols of nationalism, racialism and communism. The solution to the problems of the world, he concluded, is rejection of these triple idols, and embracing the culture of the oneness of humankind."
